Have you heard about Geography George and Jackle? If not this is
the story for you.
George is a kid that loves learning everytime he goes outside he always
brings his learning bag, and his best friend Jackle his dog. While digging he
comes upon a colorful rock, so he takes it home to wash it. When he gets
home he goes straight to the sink to wash the colorful rock to make it more
shiny. While washing the shiny colorful rock he thinks about going to
learning land where he read in one of his historical books. (woosh) (zap)
George disappeared and appeared in learning land with Jackle.
As soon as George realizes where they are at he takes out his journal
and starts writing what happened, where he is at and what he sees. He
sees some people in the distance so George and Jackle run to the people
to see what they are doing. The people tell George that they have to do
some math when it comes to farming. The kid tells George that he needs to
dig a 1in hole in the ground. 5 seeds go in each hole, each hole has to be 1
3/7 ft apart from each other. The ground area is a rectangle 10ft by 5ft, so
how many seeds do we need to use.
George writes the words the kid tells him, first George starts to see
what the area is of the rectangle. Then he finds how many holes will be in
the rectangle, when he finds the amount of holes that are in the rectangle
then he multiplies it by 5 seeds in each hole, we need 175 seeds for the
whole rectangle.
